Money worries😭😭

Does anyone have any suggestions of work from home jobs that don’t have set hours and isn’t a mlm🤣? I’m self employed and hoping something like this will let me put some extra money by and could even do once babys here as everytime me and my husband have savings for my maternity leave something comes up (since I found out I was pregnant Iv been flooded, washing machine broke, oven blew up etc 🤣) that we need it for so we currently have nothing saved and it’s 12 weeks till I finish up work😭😭 I’m starting to panic as the money I’ll get off the government won’t be enough to keep us afloat😭

Feeling the same! Every month we've had a unexpected expense and will only get smp we barely make ends meet at the moment so it's definitely a worry!

Correct me if I’m wrong but I’m sure if you start working while off , it ends your maternity pay

@Ali you can still work self employed while receiving smp or ma💗 obviously if I found something I could do for extra income that wasn’t based as self employed I’d just do it before hand to get some savings behind us x

@Ella it’s so so hard😭 you think at the start it would be quite easy to get some savings then your over half way with nothing because your house hates you🤣😭x

Incognito, I am self employed and didn’t realise I could still get SMP if I keep working as much as I can when baby arrives. Do you have any more info/ good websites for more information about this? You have just made my day!

@Anna I found stuff on the working families website💗 it says you can work self employed during SMP however if it’s MA you get your allowed to work a max of 10 days during your maternity leave as “keeping in touch” days xx
