So when you go away and you get a coach transfer operated by a tour operator, do you need to take a car seat? This might be a stupid question but first time going away and it's all a bit overwhelming!

Not for the coach, it's like going on a bus here, they don't need a car seat x
This would be your decision in most countries, but laws in each country vary so you’d have to check. I’ve chosen not to do a journey like this without a car seat as in a crash you would crush them.
