Car seat on pushchair

At what age do you stop putting the car seat on the pushchair? I watched a video and someone said that they got told they shouldn’t be putting the car seat on the pushchair but didn’t say what age their baby was

I didn’t know this was a thing 😂 my baby is 6m and I still use this if I’m popping into the shop for 5 mins (also lays flat so it’s a bonus) x

Not supposed to do it at all because the weight of the car seat can make it topple over and baby get hurt… strap baby in carrier, stroller or put in big part of pushchair

@Charlie I didn’t know it was a thing either. My little girl is 4 months old. I just thought that if she can be in it until she out grows it then it’s fine to go on the pushchair

@Aspen so what age to stop? My pram has adaptors to fit the car seat so I think the advice of not using at all is wrong.

We stopped when my son got a convertible seat. That was around a year because he got too heavy for me to carry.

We use it all the time for our 7 month old currently. Because she can’t sit up yet so can’t just put her in a cart. And I have a double stroller so both kids can fit

@Charlie it’s up to you really I know it’s different in GB vs here in US… if babe still fits then keep using it

It’s not recommended to do at all. As a newborn babies shouldn’t be in the car seat for more than 20-30mins at a time.

@N 💞 it can be as long as 2 hours once baby is old enough, not that I keep her in this for that long. But if a mum needs to, they are able too.

@Charlie that’s why I said ‘as a newborn’… Regardless it’s still not recommended.
