Washing newborn clothes?

I’ve always been told to wash new clothes for baby due to the germs and how long they can carry for and brought it up today and everyone acted like I was being silly. Just wanting some input as to if it’s actually needed to wash them?

Stains on clothes

Mamas please help!! I can’t get food stains off my baby’s clothes. He hates bibs and for the sake of him getting some food in his system I let him eat without a bib and I have bunch of light coloured clothes which are full of stains! Please help. I am in Ireland. Any products safe for babies? Vanish doesn’t work 😭

Has metanium cream been discontinued?!

My GP told us to swap onto water wipes and use metanium to try and sort my newborns nappy rash out… except I can’t seem to get hold of metanium anywhere? Online seems to suggest it’s been discontinued? Is that right? 🫣

Bottle for baby 1m

Hey mums, I’m really struggling to find a good bottle for my baby! He was using the MAM, but it kept making him choke because the flow was too strong. So I tried the Philips Avent, but it was the complete opposite – extremely hard to suck, and he spent the whole day crying in frustration… He’s 1 month old. Which bot...

Ickle bubba carry cot liner

Just gone to clean my little one’s carry cot and I’ve just seen this is all over the liner. Has anyone seen this before? I’m not too sure if it’s the fabric rubbing off or mould.

Does your toddler get into their car seat and buckle themselves in?

I’ve seen my 3yo’s classmates hope in the car and the door is shut right behind them so I assume they buckle themselves in.

Travelling

I will be travelling with a 7-month-old to Dubai and then Stockholm on two separate occasions, and for the life of me, I cannot figure out what to do about a car seat and pram! Do I take my own car seat and check it in? But then, would they take the pram frame so I can use it as both a car seat and a pram? Or shou...

Pram recommendations

Hi all, can anyone recommend a pram for 15month old? I’ve been using a travel system but now I just want one that folds in one, making it easier to fold in a car boot and go up and down stairs as live in a maisonette. Ideally would like a decent size shopping basket underneath, a cup holder for myself and a tray a...

Travel / nanny’s house pushchair

Heyyyy we’re taking our boy on holiday when he’ll be like 18m and I’d like to get a travel pram. Main reason I’m thinking of it now is cause I’d like it also to be a pushchair we can leave at his nans for her to use with him. Does anyone have any recommendations? We aren’t looking to invest so cheap would be…

Shoe size half size

What do you do when your little one is a half size when measured in Clark’s? Do you go up a size or stick to the size without the half when buying shoes from supermarkets or places that don’t do half sizes?! I find it hard to feel the end of some of her shoes so not sure if they’re getting too small now!

Toddler sling carriers

I think someone not long ago posted about this, but did anyone have any recs? I’ve seen ‘wildride’ pop up, does anyone have experience with this carrier? We’ve a couple of holidays this year and we’re not keen on taking the Baby Björn as it’s a bit bulky and she’s a chunk now!

High chair recommendations

Hi all looking for recommendations for a high chair. Little one is almost 4 months and want to be prepared for weaning. Not sure what high chair is best. Been told one that reclines is handy and yeah something easy to keep clean, nothing too fancy I guess! Thank you.

Stroller/ pram recommendations

Hi all, I’m looking for recommendations for a stroller that’s: - able to take on a plane (not essential that it’s in the cabin, fine to put in the hold) -easy to collapse - doesn’t take up loads of room in an average sized boot - lightweight but still sturdy? - has good cover from sun/rain - decent under storag...

Best stain remover

My baby wasn’t much for a blow out kid but these food stains. I’ve tried everything I know but I just can’t get it out. Google suggested this miss mouths stain treater but the price is just too high to justify buying it and it not working. Has anyone tried this one or got any better recommendations please?
