Last week, I found out that I have a big fibroid (about 13 cm by 9 cm) in my uterus. My Obgyn recommends that I get a hysterectomy to remove my uterus which will also remove the fibroids. Does anyone have any experience with both types of surgeries? Thanks for your help.

We went to start the IVF process knowing I had a 6cm fibroid that they would probably say, let's leave it. After doing a pelvic MRI we have been told that the fibroid is actually 9.6cm and needs to be removed....
