Csection/Emergency csection Mummas

Did anyone else find their emergency c-section traumatic on both you and baby? And how did you process?

I was pushing for 3 hours only to find out he had turned and was breach. His heart rate had been lowering in majority of my laboring positions, so combined with finding out he was breach, whisked off to surgery we went.

They had a really hard time getting him and and he was quite traumatized coming out. He wasn’t breathing and we both left with scars.

I’m not am quite sure how to process all of this for me and my son besides talking about it. Any tips? Or anyone experience something similar?

My baby is 14 months plus, breastfeeding. I had emergency C-section after 2 days tried naturally. Still period is not back yet. Is it normal? I asked gp for appointment . Anyone face similar issue?

Any midwifes or anyone who knows/had more than 1 csection help me out please 🙏 so im 3 weeks post section and iv been fine been mobile and done some housework with the help of this hand grabber I pinched from my mam to limit bending over and obviously school runs with my toddler which involves a hill. Iv just woken to my baby crying so grabbed him soothed him and it hit agonising pain in my belly it took everything to get up and get some codine that was left over. It feels like cramps that are intense and stinging around my wound my partner checked and everything is fine and the pain has eased whilst lying down flat ngl I thought something was about to erupt and I was going to die. Is this normal part of recovery 3 weeks in? He looked it up and says one of the options is tissue and nerves healing back together but I want to know if others experience this too?

For context this is baby No.2 and I had a traumatic 1st birth

With my last baby I had an awful experience

I had to be induced and had an allergic reaction to the pessary which I was ignored for hourrrrss when I tried telling them there was something wrong - finally when I kicked off they checked me and saw how bad it was and removed it luckily at this point I had dilated enough to have my waters broken (this wasn’t done until 15 hours later and my contractions had now stopped) I had to then be put on the hormone drip and in my opinion they increased this too fast in spite of me constantly asking to slow down as I was struggling to breathe

I then had remifentenal after 4 hours to help ease some in the pain which was great - until it ran out because the midwife wasn’t paying attention- there was no one available to refill it and in the 20 mins it took them to start me and the baby had both crashed I was 9.5 cm and baby retracted back inside and got very tangled in the cord (I had an extra long cord)

I ended up having an emergency c section under general anaesthetic I haemorrhaged and lost a lot of blood and baby was born not breathing.

We are both fine now and little one is nearly two

I am 30 weeks pregnant and have been told due to babies slow growth I have to have a c section

I don’t want general again and I have a massive needle phobia and don’t see how I’m going to be able to sit while they put an epidural or a spinal block in

Has anyone got any advice or had any extra support when having the anaesthetic administered (eg Sedation ect)

I’m also so scared about what you feel and the nausea and shaking I have heard so much about

Any support or advice would be much appreciated

Anyone get flashbacks to the whole situation from the moment you got told you need to go for an emergency C-section?

Really struggling with quiet times and having flashbacks to the whole situation...
