Surviving the Teenage years

Where is a good place to throw a party for teenagers? My kids are almost adults but maybe this post will help other moms. I've done main event, whirly ball, ally cats, GWL, urban air, and twin point. I'm thinking we might do ax throwing for my son. My teenagers have great friends who enjoy being kids and I love to really celebrate their big days 💗 Please chime in no matter how old this post is 😉

It’s been pretty quiet in our group. How are you all doing? How are these teen years treating you?

My 15yo got his learners permit 3 months ago and I have been enjoying being a passenger princess. Nobody prepares you for these bittersweet moments, when you go through phases where you wish they would grow up a bit, then they do and you wish they were little again🥺 We definitely don’t have a manual for the ups and downs of their teen years but I think it gets better as long as we don’t give up on them or blow a gasket every time we have to repeat ourselves😆 patience is key— and I’ve been learning to communicate more with my son, even though he shuts me out which is normal, I let him know I’m here no matter what. Right now I believe that’s all they need to hear as we let them navigate their own feelings and lives.

The best update/news I have is my son broke up with his gf during summer [HALLELUJAH!!] — ever since breaking up with her it was like getting my kid back. She was so toxic it was effecting him. She threatened 💀— he immediately told me and pressed me to message her mom and I did— and it was no surprise that the mom did not care and brushed me off saying her daughter was fine. I ended the conversation with telling her that her daughter needs help and I hope she gets it because that type of talk is not okay and asking my son how she should do it is horrifying for a mother to read. He had to block her from everything. Fortunately, he’s doing much better and has been focusing on himself. Just started his first year of high school and on to a new chapter in his life. I could not be any happier🤗

I need help moms. My daughter is 13 and will actually be 14 tomorrow. She is talking to another girl which is her girlfriend. I don’t mind this at all andI even allowed the girl over a few times. I have access to my daughters social media and see the messages of her being mean to my daughter blocking her if she don’t answer the phone or just being rude. I told my daughter she needs to make sure she doesn’t allow people to talk to her that way. But I still try to be the supportive mom. The girl faked that she was me talking to her dad telling him that “I wanted her to stay over longer” instead of just asking me which I probably would have said yes. I see my daughter being more isolated in her room and irritated all the time sense talking to this girl and recently I saw messages of the girl manipulating my daughter trying to turn her against me her brother and father. She tells my daughter it seems as my son is the favorite and I don’t care about my daughter feelings along with her dad. I was so disappointed in my daughter for not telling the truth to this girl because it really seemed as if I am a bad mom. I’m so hurt because my daughter is changing. This have been going on for 2 months now. Apart of me wants to stop all contact with this girl but I am afraid I will lose my daughter. Not sure what to do. Advice 🙏🏽
