Baby milestones

Milestones

Hey all! I know its different for every child and that we should not compare… but my baby born January 22nd 2025 @31+1 weeks spent 36 days in Nicu shes now 13 months and nearly 12 months corrected age. She babbles, crawls, cruises along everything but doesnt walk. When did you little ones start walking?

Milestone/development

Hi ladies,

Just looking for some advice and to hear other experiences.

I’m a first time mum and My little boy was born at 34 weeks and spent the start of his life in NICU and hospital and is now about to turn 11 weeks old (5 weeks corrected)

Will his wake windows/ development all go off his corrected age?

He still seems like he’s not able to fully focus / track with his eye and we had had a few smiles but not lots. I also feel like he doesn’t have long enough wake windows. He seems to be sleeping most of the day with contact naps being his favourite thing but is waking and taking his feeds as normal.

I find myself beating myself up and feeling like a failure as I feel like he should be doing more/ having longer wake windows or be move advanced than he is.

Then I find myself feeling bad and guilty because this isn’t the start to motherhood I imagined.

Slow weight gain

My twin girls were born at 31+3 and did really well during their NICU stay and were stable other than needing support with feeding. We are home now and breastfeeding / giving bottles of EBM + SMA fortifier but the girls aren’t gaining as much weight as the dietitians would like. Any suggestions or tips as I feel like I’m failing a wee bit!

The girls are now 10 weeks old xx

Baby 2+ VBAC

Hey girls, I had my son at 32 weeks, due to severe pre eclampsia, early labour and iugr. (2lb 15oz) I’m now looking at trying for baby 2 as he’s nearly 10 months. Has anyone had any similar experience to this, as I’m worried about baby2 having the same issue. I also want to attempt a VBAC as I had an emergency c section with my son. Any success or not successful stories please? Anything helps!! Thankyou xxx
