Same here. My son is almost 23 months old and only says about 10 words. A lot of vowels-only words, lots of pointing and complaining when not understood. I only speak Portuguese to him while the rest of the world only speaks English to him so he has that in his brain to process too.
Thankyou for your responses, I thought I would add that she still uses a dummy/pacifier most of the time. Should I be taking it off her more often?
My son is the same. He’s my third child so it’s weird to me that he doesn’t talk. My dr said to be more concerned after 2. He turns two next month so I’ll ask to be referred to an ENT to have tonsil, adenoids and ears checked.
I was told it was normal, as sometimes they are too focused on other things. My 22, almost 23 month old only says ma, da, and ass(unfortunately it's him calling for his older sister and he couldn't say Alexis.. 😅) but he doesn't say anything else, it's all still babble
