Hey mamas!! Any one have a 2 year old that isn’t saying anything?? I have a 1 year old and he is saying words but my 2 year old just humms, no verbal communication but when I tell him to do something he listens.
So he understands words but doesn’t say them :/

My 32 month old is the same. He can say some words but he does more of listening. I feel guilty at time thinking maybe its cause we speak a different language in our home. He starts daycare soon. I am hoping that would make a difference since he has been stuck with us adults during the pandemic.

My daughter turns two tomorrow and she was the same way with humming. She said several words but that was it. We started her in early intervention for speech delay about a month ago and it has already made a world of difference. It’s true what they say though, every baby develops on their own timeline. Some just need a little extra help sometimes.
