Yes. Studies show that males tend to have more male or female sperm and it's passed father to son. So for example. My husband's father had two sons, no girls. That means he has more male sperm (most likely) My husband (his son) just had two sons with me. So you can look at your husband's siblings and his father's siblings as reference ☺️
I have no idea about the science but my partner has 3 brothers and no sisters but we’re having a little girl.
Well.. let me tell you my experience. My husband is one of 4 boys and together we have four girls soooo yeah 😂
Thanks this is so interesting! My husband is also 1 of 4 boys and I wonder what we are going to have! Lol

My husband has a daughter from a previous relationship when he was 18, I have a son and daughter from previous relationships (my family all has 1 boy and two girls, except me) and we have 2 boys together, my mother in law had 4 sons and father in law has 2 sons (my husband one of his brothers) so my husband has/had only brothers x
Yeah Basically the science behind it is that a man typically carries more male or more female sperm, or an equal amount of both. That is passed from father to son. BUT that doesn't mean a man with male heavy sperm can't have a girl. It's all about that fastest swimmer lol. OH and recently they discovered the egg chooses which sperm to allow to fertilize it! How wild!

YES. Thank you @Gabbie. This is completely the case for us. My husband has 90% males on his fathers side and like 10% females. So it was no surprise that we had a boy! When I was pregnant I was talking to some coworkers about gender and one of them brought up how my husbands family looks like and from that point on I was CONVINCED it was a boy. .
I have a sister, my boyfriend has a sister. My mum has a brother and sister, my dad has a brother and sister. My boyfriends dad has 3 sisters and his mum has a sister. We have 2 boys and are currently pregnant with a surprise xx
I thought it was more to do with the timing of sex? So female sperm are slower. So if you have sex a couple of days before you're due to ovulate it gives them a head start. Having sex on ovulation day increases chances of a boy as boy sperm is faster. Either way I followed this theory and pregnant with a girl.
Yes. My husband side of the family strongly carry male. My family, I think it’s equal-ish. I have 3 nieces and 2 nephews. But for my brother’s wife, her side of the family carry more of the female side as she has 6 sisters. Then with their kids, 2 girls and 1 boy. My oldest sister has 1 boy and 1 girl. We’re hoping to have a girl next pregnancy but husband feel like it’s going to be another boy.. but we’ll see in the future!
Hmm not sure but my dad has 5 children, 3 boys & 2 girls. His brother has 4 children, 3 girls and 1 boy. I do think it’s just 50/50 and genetics don’t play a part in gender x
@Gabbie interesting! My husband is one of 3 brothers and his father is one of 5 brothers (out of about 20 cousins 17 are boys!)
It sometimes feels that way! I have one girl cousin and four boy cousins and two brothers. Both my parents have one brother each, so my side of the family seems male dominant. But my husband's side seems more balance between male and female. Super weird.
My mum had a boy and then me. My partner had a boy, girl and now our girl. I've had a boy and a girl. Think it does somewhat run in families
My mom is one of 5 girls. Each one had a boy and a girl! As for my husband’s side. Every grand child is boy, including our first. We are expecting our second and it’s a girl. I completely thought I was having a boy. I really think it’s just random!
No gender doesn’t run in families, it’s the males sperm that picks the gender.

It’s literally just luck of the draw really! But it’s the guy which determines the sex 🤍
It’s all luck of the draw I think. My partner side is mostly boys. One girl. then all of the sudden it’s all girls. All the grandchildren are girls but one boy so it flipped 😂
My father's side of the family has more boys I have 5 brothers and 2 sisters. 5 uncles and 2 aunts. Way more boy cousins then girl and 6 grandsons and 1 granddaughter (which are my nephews and niece💗) my mother's side has more girls. Untimely the male is the one that determines the gender. Which is really just a 50/50 chance. I think it's all just chance 🤷♀️
So my husband is 1 of 5. All boys. 3 of his brothers have kids and they’re all girls! I thought that was so crazy and expected ours to be a girl but we’re actually having a boy. I’m not sure if there’s any scientific reasoning behind why his brothers have all had multiple girls and no boys. I had a feeling from the very beginning of my pregnancy it was a boy and I was correct lol despite odds saying girl!
My partner is one of two boys and has two half brothers on dad's side. His brother has 3 boys. On his dad's side every male has only boys. When we found out we was expecting he was desperate to break that gene! Our first and only is a boy! Xxx
The science behind it is that your baby’s gender is only determined by the male partner, your husband. In response to gender, as women, we can only pass on an X chromosome to our child. The male however, can pass on either an X chromosome or a Y chromosome to the child. It’s a complete 50/50 chance. If he passes on an X chromosome, the child will be XX (one X from the mother and one X from the father) and therefore will be female. If he passes on a Y chromosome, the child will be XY (the X from the mother and the Y from the father) and will be a male. The child you conceive can only either have XX or XY chromosomes to determine their gender. The amount of brothers or sisters your partner has had no affect on the gender of the baby you conceive. The chromosome the male partner passes on to the child is a complete 50/50 chance. I hope this helps! 💛😌
My brothers have 6 kids between the 2 of them and I’ll be giving birth in August. All the kids are boys lol I’d definitely say that boys run in our family
My husband’s family is all boys, his brother had all boys so far, we had a girl. No one thought we’d have a girl (we didn’t find out the gender), but it’s possible, clearly!
My husband has 4 sisters, no brothers. He had mainly female cousins too. Between 2 of his cousins there is 7 girls, no boys. We have 2 sons, no daughters. His eldest living sister had 2 boys.
It’s quite literally 50/50! Good luck and congratulations!
