Skydive for charity!!

I'm doing a sponsored skydive for Lymphoma Action in July! My brother age 25 was diagnosed with stage 4 Hodgkins Lymphoma in December 2022 and is currently having chemotherapy treatment so I'm jumping for him and to raise money and awareness for other families to get support. Can anyone share their experiences of skydiving as I'm equally buzzing but also shitting my pants 🫣 I've just created a justgiving page, would anybody like to donate? 🫶

Hey I don’t my first skydive back in 2020 for a children’s cancer charity called CLIC after my son who was 2 at the time was diagnosed with inoperable brain cancer! I jumped from 10,000 ft and it was the best experience ever! I loved it so much that I paid for a further two jumps in 2021 at 15,000ft 😂 unfortunately the place I jump at doesn’t allow you to record and you have to pay an extra £300 to have it recorded so I only have my first one but there’s lots of pictures and clips I have of that one if you would like to see!

Also pop the just giving link hwrw and I’ll donate at the end of the month!

I did it in 2012 and it was amazing! Absolutely the best thing I have ever done with the feeling after being that of sheer pride, I did it! It is nervy but.... just go somewhere else in your brain and talk lots on the way up and before you know it , your on the ledge and soaring! X

I love skydiving! Every time I do one, I feel I have to do it again and keep getting people around me to try it. It’s not for everyone, but i think you will love especially that’s it’s for a good cause.

It’s so incredible! You get the biggest adrenaline rush from the moment you step into that plane. When the doors open, it gets a bit more real - couple of moments of that falling feeling and then it’s really strange but you don’t actually feel like you’re falling anymore. You get ages to look around and it feels like you just have a load of wind on you 😄 Best bit of advice would be to stay calm with your breathing because on my first ones, it took my breath away (like if you stick your head out of a car window kind of feeling 🤣) and that made me panic slightly x

Can I do it if I'm a first timer

@Reneta absolutely! You do a tandem skydive, so you have an instructor on your back. You’ll do a little training run through, then they control the parachute etc. in the air - it’s incredible!

It sounds incredible, always wanted to do it but never really spared the time..

Just wanted to say watch "the truth about cancer" with your brother, absolutely life changing xx
