Baby gets hiccups every day, should it be checked?

I've just got myself all worried because Google is saying that although hiccups are normal and generally a good sign, that you should get baby checked if you feel fetal hiccups every day or multiple times a day, which I have for the past few days?? I'm freaked out now in case something is wrong, does anyone else have a very hiccup-y bump? 😓

I do 😊 I read that some babies never get them, some get them a few times a week, and some several times a day... ignore Google, ask your midwife next time you see her - I'm sure it's fine. My baby gets them twice a day ish x

My baby girl gets them pretty often now too, but I haven’t even thought it could be an issue x

My first baby had them about 4 times a day and this baby has them around 3 times a day! It's nothing to worry about at all. My friend asked her midwife when she was pregnant and was told it was just the baby practicing how to breathe and they were a good sign.

I also have a hiccupy baby! Has been around 2-3 times a day this week. I’m going to ask my midwife about it Monday!

I made a post on here yesterday about the same thing. Baby was super hiccuppy over the past couple days and I read the same things online. I went to triage and they said it's actually a really good thing, it shows baby is healthy and developing their lungs. I did more research on it and all this scary stuff with hiccups comes from some past studies which have since been proven false and it has been debunked. I got into a right state yesterday about it so I know how you feel, but please be assured it's all good :)

@Bethany thank you!! Got myself so worked up over nothing 🥲 xx

With my first I’d feel them about 3 or 4 times a day. Usually after I’d eaten!

My baby gets them all the time , more when I lie down x
