Hello all!

Hi all! My name is Aleni and I am a Baby-Led Sleep and Well Being specialist (working with Alicia). I am the Mama to a beautiful, highly sensitive 3-year-old daughter named Nora. When my daughter was about 4 months old, she wasn't sleeping through the night and the first thing our pediatrician said to us was to sleep train with the cry it out method. When we got home, we tried to sleep train for her nap and I couldn't do it for more than 5 minutes. My heart and mama instincts were telling me "No! This doesn't feel right. I don't want to do this to her. I can't make her cry herself to sleep." Looking for help, answers, and support, I came across the Baby-Led Sleep approach. I felt so hopeful, supported, and empowered. I knew my mama instincts were right and I was making the best decision for my daughter. I now help parents feel empowered to support their baby's sleep instinctually. I help them understand sleep from an attachment aspect allowing them to intuitively making changes to things that are no longer working for their family. I’m so glad to be apart of this community! ♥️

Beautiful Aleni. I can identify with you except I haven’t really been able to sleep train one year later and it is frustrating. I once had a lady tell me to let our son cry himself to sleep and I just couldn’t bring myself to let that happen. He is now one year and I still have to breastfeed him to sleep even for his naps. His dad insists on me breastfeeding him to sleep. He wakes 2-3 times at night, sometimes hourly and I always have to breastfeed him back to sleep. When I have struggled enough, very seldom his dad will rock him to sleep. Sometimes I am so exhausted we end up co-sleeping

I bet that coupe be so tiring! Are you ok with breastfeeding to sleep? Are you ok with cosleeping?

Co-sleeping, certainly not. I wake up so tired. I am looking at winning him off breastfeeding but with him waking up so many times at night, that’s the only that puts him back to sleep
