Amazon flex
Am I able to work for Amazon flex while on maternity leave without it affecting my statutory maternity pay? It is classed as self employed work so I think I can but I don’t want to without reassurance.

Yes I would suggest same as Tanya, but I have the impression that it may affect even if it’s self employed. It shouldn’t… really 😏 Best
I’m a qualified accountant, it is fine to do self employed work (such as Amazon Flex) as long as you’re in receipt of SMP. If you are receiving MA then this is not the case - you are only allowed to work your 10 KIT days☺️ Please make sure you register as self employed if you foresee yourself earning over £1000 from your self employment, if you don’t foresee this when you hit this amount you will need to register ☺️
