Want one more but my husband doesn't
Hey guys I have a 15 month old and wanted to wait 2 or 3 more years then have another. My husband used to want 2 but only wants one now Id love to hear pros and cons to both sides. Thanks guys:)

@Marie thanks for your perspective i appreciate it. We decided to just go for it and have a second one. I really want my son to have a sibling and his kids to have an aunt or uncle:)

Pros: You don’t have to go through another pregnancy & recovery period Don’t have to deal with sibling jealousy & rivalry Don’t have to spend extra time & money with childcare, bottles, diapers etc… Don’t have to try & divide quality time and attention between 2 or more kids. It’s easier to focus on one child There’s more time for self care Cons: You’re child will want you more, and doesn’t have another sibling to play with or learn from, assuming they would actually like each other & get along enough. Smaller family, so this could mean less help long term but assumes again that more kids= more helping each other out, which isn’t always true. Less ideas & perspectives in the family though bc there won’t be other siblings & children to talk with If your one child has kids, they won’t have aunts or uncles We are one & done as far as we know & happy with it. I think it’s okay to stay open to possibilities though. Most parents don’t want another one immediately.
