Well I’m more worried because this is my first pregnancy and I was released from the fertility clinic early and I read too much online and worry
Ah - they didn’t do a scan for you at the fertility clinic? I’m surprised to hear that (and so sorry if that’s the case)! Viability scans should be standard protocol for graduating a fertility clinic. Most will do a 6 week scan but some (mine) will do a 6 week and 8 week scan. Hang in there. Trust me, it’s easy to spiral - I do it every day after recurrent losses.
I was on progesterone until my 10th week as suggested by my fertility clinic. They asked me to stop taking it and graduated me at 10th week . I told my OB about it and she said do as suggested by the clinic. Was a little surprised because I didn’t understand the basis on which they asked me to stop taking it. There was no blood work done to check the levels either.
I graduated from the fertility clinic as soon has they had a positive pregnancy test and they tested my HSG. They said the day they graduated me they said all questions and concerns go to your Obgyn. Which my appt was not till over a month away!!
The reasoning behind the 10 week milestone is because that’s the point when your placenta should be developed and fully up and running to produce progesterone on its own.
I’ll be on progesterone until the end of 10 weeks - had to have it extended because of a large SCH. Why would you be worried about bad news with progesterone?
