Anyone in a similar boat?

Hey, I am 30 weeks pregnant via embryo adoption. I am 44 years old, and this was my last shot at being a mama - I am single so did this alone. I have great friends and a supportive network but feeling quite isolated due to my situation. Just keen to connect with anyone in a similar position :)

Hi! Not in your same boat, but I’m a doula that works with lots of SMBC! Most areas have Single Mom By Choice support groups and some IVF clinics have a resource list that can point you towards these groups. Have you tried searching for some of those to find people in similar positions? 🤗 There’s lot on FB as well!

Hey, thank you so much for the information I will definitely look into this x

Hey I’m not single but am 45 and pregnant via embryo adoption x

Hey I’m 46 and pregnant with embryo transfer. Husband but still feel isolated.. it’s a huge change

Hey everyone, I was actually diagnosed with prenatal depression which I didn’t even know existed! I was very upset for sometime before it was diagnosed. Once it was I got the right help and support and it made a huge difference. My advice is talk to a midwife they have a special team of wonderful women who are there to support mental health in pregnancy. It’s much more common than you would think.

I now have a healthy happy little boy and I feel the happiest and most content I ever have in my life. Truly the best thing that ever happened, the journey was tough from start to finish but once I was home with my son I knew every last minute was worth it xx

@Bonnie congratulations and I’m pleased you are feeling better.

Hi and congratulations! I’m embarking on the same journey as a SMBC at 44 with donor egg and donor sperm. After 1 successful IVF cycle that ended in a chemical pregnancy followed by 4 failed cycles I’ve made the decision to move forward with donor eggs. I’ve selected an egg donor and purchased everything. Now I just wait for the eggs to be shipped to the clinic. I’m finally feeling excited again after so much disappointment. Hoping for success on the first try with my new young eggs.
