I used these and put an extra maternity pad inside for the hospital and a few days after then just used normal maternity pads but they are good, i got the home bargains ones which do exactly the same thing but half the price of these or other branded ones x
I just used Lilets Maternity pads with big knickers. They have been great so far! 😊
Pack both, I personally despised these but others love them. My preference was the the frida disposables plus big ol’ maternity pad.
I used these and felt a lot more confident and comfortable in these than a pad. Especially as I had stitches these were a lot better!
I got these and lillet maternity pads. Found the always ones far too tight and uncomfortable. I got cheap big knickers from Primark a few sizes bigger that came up high in case of c section and used maternity pads which I found comfortable
I used these much better than pads. I even used these day 2 of my first period after my son x
As others have said, the lilets maternity pads are the best with cheap big knickers. They are huge with wings, never leaked wearing these x
I did lilets maternity pad, big knickers and then an adult nappy over the top when I got home just in case. I got the boots own brand ones and they were fab. I had no leaks at all with that combo 🫶🏻
Amazon do some huge maternity pads! Felt nice and secure with a big pair of knickers (got a cheap multipack).
I like the always brand ! I used these and big maternity pads (always has big pads you can buy). I like the adult diapers a lot especially to sleep in and when I ran out I just wore the big pads with my underwear
I used those! I had to go up like 2-3 sizes than normal and expect the unexpected! I had a c section and they pumped me full of fluids and my legs got so swollen, like at least double their size so the post partum dispers were tight on my legs because of that. If I were to do it again I’d get some large and some x large just to be sure I had some for all situations. I wore those for atleast a week after I had my baby then switched to the most absorbent pads I could find but I got the thin ones cause I hate pads. Definitely liked the dispers more, used the always discreet brand.
I thought I would prefer the adult nappies to maternity pads but I ended up hating the nappies and much preferred the pads! Have a go wearing the adult nappies for a bit now or overnight or something so you can see how you find them and whether you'd prefer pads.
I used Frida mom pads with my hospital underwear until I ran out then I used Frida mom underwear
Maternity pads then period knickers when flow gets a bit lighter.

I don’t know brand but the hospital gave me adult diapers for the hospital and they were great. When I went home I switched to maxi pads which also worked but not having to worry about leaks right after birth was worth it.
I got the Sainsbury’s own and they were bigger packs and half the price! I wore these until I stopped bleeding- just felt so much more comfortable in them x
@Abby if you’re in the the Uk you have to take everything yourself
@Abby ha no problem! Given you have to pay so much for your healthcare I’d be taking nothing either! They only really give you milk in our hospitals if you’ve had to stay in and not brought enough x
Tena ones are better, less bulkier I found these made me sweaty which resulted in discomfort
Definitely an adult nappy i used used Aldi's own brand. I found them sp much comfier than wearing a pad after a 2nd degree tear.
Home Bargains do really good adult nappies, they were blessing, don't need to think about knickers and alot more comfortable - best to have pads to tho incase of c section
Always use proper maternity pads to start rather than period pads as they show the lochia better and therefore any issues (size of clots etc) x I bought some big period knickers from M&S and used just Tesco maternity pads… the M&S knickers are so great I still use them now after 21 months for overnight!
I liked the always ones! It was just a lot easier that trying to adjust the giant hospital pads.
I used Tena ones and loved them. I felt more hygienic using these than using pads as I knew every few hours I had fresh knickers on.
I used big period knickers - honestly so much better than these pads
Everyone I've seen has recommended either these or Tena. I think I went with Tena because they were £2 cheaper and I also went with black. My mum gave me some Tesco brand ones as well (5 pack - white) so I'm going to pack both. Some people say they lived in them for a while after coming home so I thought having more is better.
I used the always boutique and they worked well! i also used pads inside of those since the bleeding for me was very heavy!
I had always ones but then I had a c section and couldn't use them and had to get high adult tena nappies. This is because I had a c section and always ones are lower and rub on the incision.
I used maternity pads and they were good.
