Therapy

My husband and I adopted our beautiful daughter at birth. She is 17 months old right now. We have an open adoption and a great relationship with her birth mother and speak with her often and visit her annually. Her birth father is not in the picture. When did you start therapy for your adopted child? I know my daughter is too young, but everything I've read (and the agency told us) is that, even if your adopted child seems well-adjusted, therapy is important. I should also add that ours is an interracial adoption, as my husband and I are white and our daughter is biracial (Japanese and Hispanic). Any advice is appreciated.
