I was rushed into hospital when my son was a year old due to high symptoms of overactive. It was only then I was diagnosed. They said the pregnancy caused it. Was on medication for 4 years and finally had my thyroid removed in September 2023 and now under active. I haven't had any issues with the different meds I take but it's been a real struggle to get my levels under control since being pregnant 😑 I hope it sorts itself out for you as it's definitely not fun lol x
@Hannah ah no that sounds like a nightmare! Glad you are sorted..ish! Why did they remove your thyroid? I dont feel like I know very much about any of it! I just thought I was tired from having a baby 🤣🤦♀️ im hoping it goes away itself. I hate the thought of constantly worrying about it.
Yes I got I had last 8yrs and on medication every day and I use feeling tried all the and sleep all the time too and feel sick all the time too x
@Jessie oh no that sounds so dreadful. Did the medication make you feel better?
@Sammie all the symptoms I had, I also put down to being a new mum and being tired. Wasn't until I was left unmedicated for so long, my body was having real troubles and I ended up in hospital and that's how I was diagnosed. I was on carbimazole for 4 years and I kept relapsing every time I came off the meds so only next option was surgery so now I'm the opposite with under active 🤣 no rest for the wicked lol. If you're on Facebook, search for thyroid groups, they have some amazing ones with specialist members who offer great advice. Has helped me massively when I know nothing about it also x
@Sammie yes make feel better I'm in 125mgs the thr min just hope same the same level and do you know how mgs you on xx
