PREGANT AS SOON AS COIL REMOVED- OR PMS SYMPTOMS!?

I've had my coil removed 26th February. And actively trying to get pregnant wity my 2nd child. I don't know if it's just normal PMS symptoms I'm experiencing or pregnancy symptoms.. or its just my brain🙈 I had a tiny bit of bleeding day of removal. I'm always tired anyway, cause who doesn't love a nap. But.. i have been experiencing mild cramps mainly on a night but sometimes during the day. I've noticed abit of bloating today. Mood Swings. Also weeing quite abit, but I have been drinking alcohol. The main thing I noticed is on and off nausea, no vomitting. The other day I went out for food, looked forward to it all day. Got to the restaurant and felt queasy. The smell made me feel queasy and then when the food arrived I had to go to the toilet. I didn't throw up, pulled myself together and managed to eat half my meal. I'm just wondering if its normal mirena coil removal symptoms? If not when do you test!? My head hurts lol. I know fertility returns straight away how crazy! But wouldn't know how it would date cause its usually from your period?! I don't want to get my hopes up, but would like to hear other peoples experiences x

I could of written a very similar post to this after I got my coil removed. I spotted for a couple of days after removal. I actually then got 1 normal cycle. However, on my 2nd cycle my ovulation strips went positive when I thought they would be and then around the time my period was due I had the really intense symptoms you described. However, pregnancy tests were negative and no period came. A week later I ovulated on CD37 and got pregnant. In the lead up to testing I had no symptoms other then burning nipples for 7 DPO. My advice would be as you haven't has a proper period since removal to buy some cheap pregnancy +LH tests. I would test for pregnancy every other day and LH every day/twice a day. Then at least you know which it is. As I found the stage of not knowing what was going on with my body stressful so the testing help eased it but I really didn't think there was any chance of getting pregnant that cycle as it was so long. Sending lots of baby dust ✨️

@Isabella oh wow thanks for such an informative reply. Yeah its just frustrating the not knowing!! Like I obviously understand it does take time, it took us a good 7 months after implant removal for my first baby. 3 months for my period to return normally, but I don't recall feeling symptomatic and don't want to get my hopes up. I didn't know whether to bother testing as I didn't know if anything would actually show up? I wouldn't even be able to work out how far along I am🤣🙈

No worries, I remember that frustration all too well unfortunately so I sympathise with that as well. You may find it happens quicker with a coil removal though rather then an implant removal as the hormones are more centralised. Saying that I have also heard of it taking a while for some people's periods to return after coil. So it's hard to know what will happen. Feeling symptomatic can go either way unfortunately. Will you get your hope up if you test? My thought process was always wait a few days to test after the symptoms. However I was a obsessive tester and always thought I would rather know. If you are pregnant it would likely show up on a test in a few days time. If you are pregnant you could always use a clear blue digital to help give a guide with dates. As it would say 1-2, 2-3, 3+ weeks. You then add 2 weeks for the number pregnant you would be 3-4, 4-5, 5+. This would give a rough guide prior to the dating ultrasound. 😊

It definitely isn't unheard of to get pregnant soon after a coil removal without having a period. I was warned of this when I had mine removed xx

I feel like once I start testing I'll get obsessed if that makes sense? Its just frustrating. Like I get if I get my period thats fine, I bet the symptoms are just more intense due to the sudden hormonal surge. Xx

I totally get that as I was obsessive with testing both ovulation and pregnancy. Sounds like it may just be a bit of a waiting game unfortunately which is the worst stage 😔. That could very well be the case as its your body switching from artificial hormones to natural ones which I'm sure gives our bodies aa shock xx

I took a test the other day and it was negative. Still absolutely shattered, bloated, backache. Still no period uet though. We'll wait and see. Trying to put it off for atleast 21 days after removal if I'm still symptomatic I'll test again xx

Sounds like your body is still adjusting a lot. You will get that positive soon just need to let your body reset first ✨️xx

Yeah it does, just a waiting game. But all the symptoms came on thick and fast hahha xx

Not an easy one though 😔 Thats the hard bit it will all be worth it once you get that positive though 😊xx

They've calmed down abit the symptoms finally. Still no period. Really bloated, nausea, keep coming down with colds/flu and run down. Going to test again soon if my period doesn't arrive. So we'll see xx

Thats good they have calmed down slightly. Hopefully you get an answer one way or another soon so you know were tour starting from. Not much fun from a symptoms point of view. Xx

Yeah I just want to know! These hormones are crazyyy 🤣🤣 My OH was saying last night my boobs looked bigger🙈xx

Hormones are wild. To be fair my boobs fluctuate by about a cup size or two when I have a natural cycle. So it could be that 🤔xx

My period arrived today. Got a starting point now atleast and I'm not wondering! Xx
