Genuine question here. What exactly do the lactation cookies, oatmeal, teas, etc. do to help with milk supply? To me, supply and demand makes sense. The more you nurse/pump, the more milk you produce but I never understood how foods/drinks fit into the equation.

@Marcela Genuine answer. Some people try to tell people that they work to increase milk supply. Non-herbal galactagogues can help support breastfeeding, but we do not find where it’s significant. Milk supply is made from the blood so it’s not just the food and drinks. We need nutrients and hydration, but it is not like people make it out to be.
