How to confirm chemical pregnancy
First day of missed period was last Wednesday and had tested positive Tuesday/wednesday/Thursday last week. So would have made me 4w+5.
I started bleeding (dark red) and cramping this morning with some small clots. When should I test to confirm it? I know in my heart I have and feeling heartbroken :(.

There really is no set time to confirm it unfortunately. I tested faint positives for a month and a half. Sometimes a bit of tissue hangs on (medications like mifepristone and misoprostol can help, but no one would prescribe them for me because "oh, the bleeding might still go away" 😑). All you can really do is wait it out. If it goes too long, like more than a week of heavy bleeding, see a doctor. If you feel off at all, see a doctor. They usually resolve on their own, it just may take a little time.

So sorry you’re going through this. I had an early miscarriage last month (my first pregnancy) at 6 weeks, very similar to you with the bleed and cramping. I tested as soon as the bleeding stopped (the day after it started luckily I didn’t have to endure for too long) and it was negative right away. Be kind to yourself ❤️
