Anti-Mullerian Hormone (AMH)

Hello everyone! So I’ve recently been TTC for about over a year now and my doctor had many tests scheduled for me. One of them is an anti-mullerian hormone test, and I was wondering what my results may mean. I am 27 years old and my AMH was measured at 7.08 ng/ml. Does anyone have any background in this? I was reading up on it and found an article that said this might mean I might have PCOS? Thanks for all the help!

@Jill thanks so much! I found a chart similar and look like I’m in the average. She hasn’t yet, im scheduled to see her in a week. But I just received my results and I was just curious. I guess I should just wait it out.

@Kea I do the same when I get my results because I am impatient lol. But I am sure she can better explain to you what the results mean etc

That's very high.. I'm 35 and mines 1.88. I found this online as well. I'm sure they can help you on your answers. Best wishes!!

What I understand about AMH definitely more closely matches what Jill posted, not the range from Stephanie. I have no idea why there would be such different ranges. Mine is ~10, and I'm 30 years old. I was told by my fertility clinic that 10 was a good number. Plenty high for my age, but they didn't say anything about it being too high. I did have an OB/Gyn make a comment that the high number could potentially suggest PCOS, but I've also had several ultrasounds and some other tests that did not support a PCOS diagnosis.

@Taylor I'm not sure my gyno said I'm within the normal range. Is your 10 counting ng/ml percentage? I'm 35 though so I'm sure mine would be lower than yours. Supposably it declines rapidly when you turn 35. 😫

My result doesn't reference percentage at all. Just AMH. Units ng/ml.

Oh okay, yes, it's ng/ml.
