No period

I stopped taking the pill in December as me and my partner are trying for our second baby (both 33yo). However I’ve not had a period. I had a period last month but haven’t had sex after that and pregnany test is negative - which is what I thought it would be as I had a period last month.. I’m well over a week late and this has never happened to me before. I’m getting worried as I’m 34 this year and getting paranoid it won’t happen. Has anyone else experienced a missed period/ when they’re not pregnant??

How long were you on the pill for? It took my body a whole year to regulate its cycles and (I believe) a few months to start ovulating again. However, I was also on it for a number of years prior.

I've gone 3 months without a period before and wasn't pregnant. Sometimes trauma or major changes (like going off the pill) can effect your cycle

Woman get pregnant naturally in their early 40s … don’t overthink it ❤️

A few things - 1. Stress plays a big part fertility and conception. High stress reduces blood flow to uterus and ovaries. It is a biological function so that if you were "running from the bear" you would not be able to conceive. 2. There is a lot of fear around fertility. Western medicine and fertility clinics have little to no knowledge about to how to cultivate fertility. You could absolutely be more fertile with the right knowledge on how to do that. A lot of of it comes back to digestion, proper nutrition and hydration. Less stress, move your body. Take action for empowerment!

@Tash I was on the pill for about a year. I’ve taken ovulation tests and have been ovulating… had periods beginning of Jan, Feb and March but suddenly nothing for April.. 2 weeks late. Never happened before, even when I stopped the pill after taking it for over a decade when trying for my first born. Just taken aback.
