When did you guys get pregnant after your c section?

I would love to get pregnant again but is 6 months too soon? Because my husband goes on deployment soon and we would like to get pregnant again before he goes back out at sea.

6 weeks 😂 I now have a 5 week old and 1 year old!

lol oh gosh🤣 did you have any problems with your pregnancy? With baby number 2

@Ashley it wasn’t planned but obviously let the surge of horniness get to me 😂 pregnancy was absolutely fine, my scar was ok too! Had regular scans for them to check on baby but she grew with no complications. Had another C-section in March and baby is healthy and good! My recovery has been pretty straight forward too! X

The doctors recomended 18months minimum gap

9 months, I'm currently 31 weeks pregnant with an almost 17month old

Well its best to wait 18 months they say, I got pregnant when my daughter was 8 months (now 21months) and then had to have another c-section for my now 4 month old baby because I didn't wait long enough for my body to heal. So just FYI

Obviously unplanned pregnancies happen. But the general recommendation is 18 months for a reason. I would not plan one before then because why add more risk

Best to wait 18 months at least to let your body heal

If you want to try for a vbac they recommend waiting 12-18 months.

a friend of mine got pregnant 5 months after a c-section and she had a vbac baby. after my ordeal, i'd rather do another c-section so i want to start trying at 6 months, although originally i was going to wait until bubs was 1 year then try for another. still undecided as my boy is currently only 10 weeks but i already want #2

I fell pregnant when my oldest was 9 months so I’ve got a 4 month and a 22 month old so bang on 18 months between them x

Got pregnant 9 months after c section

Do you have support in the area you guys are stationed right now? It could be hard for you to be with 2 under 2 by yourself when hubby is on deployments.

5 months postpartum , they are 13 months apart. About to have my 3rd kid by c section and I will have 3 under 3 for a few months

About 13 months between when I had my first and when I got pregnant with #2

I got pregnant with my second 3 months after first and had c section emergency

My doctor told me if I don’t plan to go for a VBAC then 6 months is okay.

6 months pp 😊 (I’m currently 13 weeks pregnant) I was really worried about the risks at first but my doctor hasn’t been worried at all. He said to me that it’s generally okay to start trying around 6 months post c section.

It’s recommended to have an 18 months gap due to your body not being ready yet and healing time. We waited 2 years as desperately want a vbac.

I fell pregnant when my youngest was 6 months and I'm now 3 weeks pp no issues

4 months 😂 I'm due in 3 weeks and will have a 13 month 1 week age gap between them. No issues at all in my pregnancy bar pgp this time and no energy ever due to my first born needing all my energy and I feel like worse mood swings but physically bar the pgp no issues at all healthy baby healthy pregnancy I was always going to be high risk with a second as I was in my first. I've been advised a c section heavily due to length of time between and the reasons I needed an emergency one last year and I was already set on a c section as my cervix failed with my son and trapped his head when it suddenly closed up at 8cm around his head and we nearly lost him I can't take the risk of it happening again so I'm happy they were so willing to do a c section and I didn't need to explain why to anyone I just went can I have one they went yeah we want you to have one so let's get it booked in. Only issue im really going to have is the 6 weeks after birth when I can't lift my toddler so I'm worried about that

Between 3 and 4 months pp I have a 10 month old girl, and I'm 26 weeks 1 day currently she wil be 13 months when my next baby is born everything going OK and baby is growing fine xxx

We’ve been trying for 6 months and my baby is 9 months old

15 months, baby will be turning 2 the week newborn is due xx

My thing is your husband is going to be there knowing he is deployed and you have help because having 2 under 2 will be very stressful

I got pregnant at 6m pp still currently pregnant and no issues at all

Yes 6 months is too soon, they recommend 18 months for a reason

@Shannon every women's experience and reasons are different , yes they recommend this but things happen , one of the women reasons for waiting is if the women would like to try for a v bac delivery , it is advised to have another c section xx

I got pregnant again at 8 months. My doctor actually said I can try for VBAC but it does affect my chance of success…. I wasn’t thinking I would get pregnant again so soon but I’m excited my son will have a playmate. They will be 16 months apart !!

@Joye my consultant said they won't say no to a v bac if it anted to try but they strongly advise that I have a planned c section so that's what I will be doing my daughter is 10 months and now once baby is born there will be 13 months apart xx

6 months is too soon. Doctors recommend waiting at least a year, ideally 18 months to conceive for a reason. Back to back pregnancies carry more risks to the mum and baby. Some people have successful pregnancies, but not everyone will. "I was ok" is not a valid reason to support certain things. Be safe and wait.

@Hannah nobody has said that I was ok is a valid reason , I just said pregnancy happens , I was back on contraception and it still happened , I don't agree with abortion and the docters and hospital have been supportive towards me and have advised me accordingly xx

@Kirsty Yeah. That may be the case. My doctor never said Csection is strongly suggested but they said I had 40% chance VBAC success… Every pregnancy is different . I don’t see the harm in trying.. I will be in a hospital & if I end up needing to go for a Csection I will, but I don’t want to just give up hope without even trying. Somebody on here said they were successful VBAC with even less time. I am still deciding but I hope for the best!!

@Indira yes I have support

@Trice my husband will be here for the most part but I do have support

3 months after emergency c section Currently 24 weeks pregnant So far so good I'm just recommended to go for a planned c section this time to avoid complications but I still have the option to try vbac

@Mona i hope everything works out for you

5 months pp🙈 Mine have a 13 month two weeks gap. No issues thank God

@Mona I'm exactly the same has you , have the option but I will be going for planned c section again:-) xx

@Kirsty congrats! Yep same although my first was an emergency c section Best to make the wise choice of planned c section to avoid any potential complications Hope it goes well for you!

@Mona same to you hun xx
