My hospital has a packet to fill out, plus we need IDs and insurance cards

Yeah your ID insurance card your birthing plan and hospital paperwork

I didn't bring any paperwork to the hospital I guess it depends where you have it? I filled everything out at my OBs office and when I was in recovery they brought in a folder with any paperwork I had to complete (birth certificate, testing stuff, etc.)

My hospital didn’t even have paperwork to fill out prior. Insurance and id then if you have a birth plan bring that. If they have paperwork they will probably give it to you at your first appointment or 36 week appointment.

I didn't need hospital paperwork all I needed with proof of health insurance and our drivers licenses then when baby arrives you'll get more paperwork to file for which is social security number and birth certificate make sure you read thoroughly they will give you information if you are interested in cord blood donations and other things but you won't see any of that until you are settled in your room and recovering. Prepare your door will bot stay closed very long you'll have tons of staff for you and baby and other things you won't know what's going on unless you have someone there to help you

They should definitely provide a list of things you need to bring to the hospital.

@Qierra they should but all hospitals are different and ease a new mom's mind when it's time to pack your bags to head to the hospital so you have everything you need .
