Help with routine please! 🙏 🩷

Hi girls I’m after some help. My daughter is 1 and I am expecting my son by the end of July. And we have no routine! It’s worked up until now for us as I’m a stay at home mum and just gone with the flow. But it is now becoming a problem. My realistic day is that she starts the day 9-10am has a nap around 1 till 2ish and then another nap around 4-5 till about 6. And the she will go to sleep around 10-12. To get her to sleep I have to put her into bed with warm bottle and close cuddles and the transfer her to her cot which is at the bottom of my bed. She still wakes once or twice a night and often wont go back to sleep until she’s in bed with me abd my partner. Any advice would very much be appreciated as I am so sleep deprived and this is only gonna get worse with 2 under 2 😭 x

Build a routine from what you already do, so write down those times and try to stick to them, add in when you eat etc. Also check on huckleberry about the sleep schedule at one as that might give some pointers about when your toddler should be napping/how long

Thank you, I’m struggling so bad x

so obviously you need to do what works best for you. we used to have a very similar schedule to you however we now have a really good routine where myself & my partner get so much more sleep. please don't think i'm being judgmental but i would try not to give your daughter a nap any time after 3:30pm and try an earlier bedtime. my son has his first nap at 9-10am and then another at 2 - 3:30pm and then bet at 8:30 our routine isn't perfect but it means we get the choice of an early night. this is just my advice like i said you need to do whatever is best for you but i hope this helps in some way xx

Sorry to comment on an old post, but I just wanted to say - Remember the important thing is that your routine works for YOU. People used to judge me for my son going to sleep at midnight, but he got his 12 hours, and I still got to do my work and housework! Xx
