Rhesus Negative

Hey everyone! So I've received a letter regarding the blood test results taken from my booking appointment and this is what's been said. I've read through the leaflet but it doesn't make sense to me, is this anything I should be worried about?

Nothing to be worried about! In a nutshell if your baby is the same as you, it's not needed. If your baby ends up with a different blood type, they give you an injection to stop your body rejecting any future implantations

@Hollie That's great thank you, felt really thick as I just could not wrap my head around it 🫣

It's fine, my mum had it with me and now I have it too! Nothing to worry about.

I had a similar letter at my 12 week scan, I think it is OK. Just need to get the bloods done at 16 weeks and then go from there x

I’ve had it throughout all my pregnancy’s I’m also negative. It don’t hurt 🥰. Xx

I honestly was a worried when I got this letter they didn’t even explain anything in it so didn’t even know what to think xx

Nothing to worry about, I am rhesus negative. My hospital didn't offer the blood test mentioned in your letter with my first but now they do. So I had a routine anti d around 28 weeks. I had two occasions of bleeding where I had to go to triage and I had to have anti d injections on these occasions too x
