It will be fine!! I have been low Papp a the whole pregnancy I’m being induced on Tuesday at 39 weeks x

@Chloe absolutely do not want to be induced

Hmm well you may have to opt for a x section then I assume. They don’t like keeping the baby too long inside you past 39 weeks x

Any reason why you wouldn’t like to be induced?

@Chloe will not be having a c section either pray the results are wrong tbh I had my first naturally and went a week over with him

Well depending on your Papp levels you may be fine I mean I’m no doctor and it’s your body so you do what’s right for you x

@Chloe is it the low paap that is making you be induced or a choice?

The low Papp a but I believe I could say no if I want to. I am on the cusp of low Papp an and had a good pregnant so far. Baby slightly on the lighter side but healthy! They like to make sure that baby’s are born latest between 39-40 weeks as your pancreas stops giving the baby what it needs which in some cases can lead to a still birth (this was on My doctors notes)

If your baby is growing fine and there are no issues then there is no reason for induction or C-section , I had it with my first pregnancy and didn’t give birth till 41+4 healthy 9lb 7.5oz baby. Ultimately it’s your body and you can decline anything x

But some cases depending on your Papp a levels it may be earlier than 39 weeks but I believe this is the latest as I said I was on the cusp

Low Papp-A doesn’t always have any Affect it’s just there is a possibility so that’s why they give you growth scans majority of people have perfectly healthy good weight babies x

@Chloe my levels are only on the low side the letter says

I really wouldn’t stress! If anything you get extra checks and scans which I found so great. They won’t make you do anything you don’t want to do. And like Bekah said some baby’s grow just fine. My friend had low Papp and ended up booking in for induction but having baby naturally few weeks early. Also your body knows what it’s doing as you have had one before ❣️good luck x

You definitely don’t have to be induced early with low pap a, I had it with my first and was induced as I got worried with everything they were saying but I also have it this pregnancy and have already told my consultant I will not be having an induction this time unless the baby’s health becomes a risk (placenta deteriorating) they said that’s fine they will just monitor me more often after 40 weeks, they just advise an induction early due to the risks with placenta xx

I spoke with my midwife about this, she said it wouldn't effect my birth in this way. That's why they do the growth scans to check the baby and placenta. For example I want a water birth, no induction. she said there shouldn't be any problems. Can always ask for some sweeps too nearer the time to induce labour if needed

@Ruth yes definitely! They can never tell you your not allowed to do something or you have to be induced it’s always your decision we are in full control of our birth, I planned to have a water birth with my first and was in the room with a pool never actually ending up getting in but I could have I was never told I wasn’t. Definitely stand your ground if you do or don’t want to do something ultimately it’s your body ❤️

@Bekah obviously I know a water birth might not happen for various reasons but its definitely my preference

@Ruth they might say it’s not recommended for several reasons but you can still have one if you wanted to you just weigh up the risks and the benefits
