I would imagine they will do full bloods, including your AMH and also do your AFC via internal ultrasound (it doesn’t hurt if you haven’t had one before). Chat through your symptoms, history etc. I’d ask them to check your partner too to make sure he’s all ok (unless you are using a donor of course, then you don’t need to).
hey, yes ttc our first, my partner already has a child. im 39 and only started noticing my ovulation was very early in my cycle and prompted me going to the gp. I've had a few bloods done now and gp says its possibly the start of peri. So i've been referred to the gyny
That’s great you are getting to see someone to go through it all. I’m not sure about pills but I believe one method is to take over your ovaries with drugs so they monitor follicle growth and trigger ovulation when there’s a nature follicle. Then you try naturally. IVF works the same but they go for more follicles so they can retrieve more eggs. Try not to worry, there’s lots of options! If you are looking to have treatment funded you need to have bed testing for two years or more, have no children (on either side), be within the right BMI/age range etc so take a look at that. London started on my treatment immediately due to my age so I’m sure they would be speedy with anyone potentially perimenopauseal too if your clinic is decent 😊
thank you so much for the information! you have really helped me be more calm about it 🫶🏼
Hi hun, are you going because of symptoms or because you are trying to conceive? How old are you?
