Same age and mine isn’t rolling either! I’ve seen her do it a couple of times. I’m trying not to worry and thinking she’ll get to it in her own time. She sort of stretches and twists her body a lot but not quite rolling.

I wouldn’t worry, family has a way of working their way into your thoughts for no reason! mine only rolled once at around 4.5 months and then didn’t roll at all till 6 months. Now she’s rolling constantly from back to front but can’t go the other way 😂 tummy time really helped her and plopping things on either side of her while on her tummy to stimulate and get her to try and reach it. Tummy time also strengthens their core so they’ll be able to get comfortable in that position and rolling xx

Mine did it just before 5 months and he’s nearly 6 months and not sitting, but I see other babies sitting at this age it’s really hard to not compare but every baby does do it at different stages, try not stress to much! X

What Krupha said, but also, massaging and doing some daily exercise will get those muscles working too

Mine has rolled once or twice and hasn’t been bothered since about 3 months. I would worry. I spoke to other second time mums and said their baby never rolled but learn to crawl and walk successfully, I really wouldn’t worry too much 💕

@Krupha my FIL says that i keep her in sleepsuits most of the time so she is restricted. Could that be the reason?

How is a sleepsuit restrictive? 👀

As long as it’s not actually too small (like the wrong size) it should be fine.. I honestly think in laws make stuff up to oppose us sometimes 😂🤦🏽‍♀️ how often do you give your little one floor time? Like just on a mat on the floor - u mentioned restrictive and I just remembered I kept my girl in her Moses basket a lot of the time and that was a tiny bit restrictive so maybe give them plenty of space? Xx

@Batul i don't know 😅 FIL logic? He says because closed at all ends. A trouser shirt is more free.

@Krupha ohh, i don't put her on floor at all. I thought it is hard for her and she could get injured 😶

@Evah I mean, I have a lot of snide comments in response to your FIL ideas, but I'll behave 😂 But floor time is def important, just put a thick blanket on the floor, if you find the floor too hard. Or a play mat will do too. And loads of tummy time..

Thank you 😊 i will start the floor time

My LO is the same age and also not rolling - think they just do things in their own time 🤷‍♀️ At least that is what I tell myself 🤪

@Krupha thank you x 😊

@Evah I mean it’s probably coincidence. But the first handful of times my lo rolled she was naked or just in a nappy.. 🤷🏻‍♀️😂

My LO is the same age and is showing signs of trying to roll but hasn’t quite done it yet, yet I have a family member whose baby has been rolling since 3.5 months🤷🏼‍♀️ it was hard for me not to compare but they will do it in their own time! Watch a bluey episode called ‘the baby race’ I know it sounds silly but it had me in tears lol, they do things in their own time, they will get there xx

@Maddie haha i will give that a go as well 😄

@Georgia i am usually relaxed in that sense that she will do when she is ready but then people point out and start feeling weird
