Why am I not getting pregnant???

Hey Ladies, I need some advice. I lost my Pregnancy at 21weeks due to loss of amniotic fluid somewhere between 12weeks and 20weeks (unaware due to lack of scans and unsure when it started) My Placenta was acting as a sponge and absorbing all the fluid so the baby had None. It's now been almost 3months and 3periods since the baby was 'evacuated' and I'm still not pregnant. At 1st my mindset was ' let my body heal it will happen again in time' but now as my period is due again in 3days I'm getting very emotional and loosing hope. Any advice is greatly appreciated. ❤️

Oh girl I’m sorry for your loss. But all o Will say it’s only been 3 months! It doesn’t happen to some for years. Just be gentle with yourself. It’ll happen ❤️

I’m so sorry for your loss! I don’t know if this helps but I took prenatal vitamins before I got pregnant with my first as I was told that’s meant to help and I didn’t pay attention to when I was ovulating because it seemed the more we actively tried the less successful we were but as soon as we stopped trying I got pregnant (funny how that works) xx

Just keep trying, 3 months is a really short time. The chance of conceiving each month is only something like 15-25%.

@Lauren thank you! I know what you mean. Thank you so much for replying ❤️

@Megan thank you for replying. I currently take Folic acid but will also get some prenatal vitamins too. ❤️

@Gigi thank you, I didn't know that. I will definitely keep trying ❤️

Firstly I’m so sorry for your loss. Hoping by sharing my story it gives you some hope. I don’t know how long it took you to get pregnant that time but my first pregnancy was our 2nd month of trying… unfortunately it was ectopic but I had hope that our next time wouldn’t be too long. It actually took 6 months for me to get pregnant again, it was a chemical. 3rd time lucky I got pregnant 4 months after that miscarriage and 12 months after we originally started trying. I carried to term and now have a 3 week old! I found it best to keep my body and mind active while trying it was so so hard every month not getting a positive test. Just taking time for yourself can make a real difference, and self care for those days when you’re waiting and feeling anxious/scared/frustrated. It can take time and honestly most of it is luck I’m sure of it. It’s all so worth it in the end though and I wish you all the best xxx

Im so sorry to hear what your gone through. can i ask where are you based, UK?

@Arta hello, yes Central London.

@Rosie Thank you so much. Very very helpful ❤️

Hey, I agree that 3 months will seem like a long time, but it really isn’t. Your body has been through a lot as well being pregnant for 20 weeks. It might even be worth checking your blood to make sure you’re not depleted/ deficient in any particular vitamins/ minerals after all of that. I’d say really look after your body with nice gentle exercise (there are tons of fertility yoga videos online - I love Bettina Rae’s), good healthy food, smoothies, etc. And also try to process what happened (i found therapy so helpful after mc) so that your body and mind are as healthy and ready as possible when you become pregnant again. I also really believe in not putting too much pressure on any one cycle being ‘the one’. Aim for soon, rather than now, if you know what I mean? 🤗

@Eva Thank you so much, I know 3months aren't long at all. I think because I got pregnant 6weeks after coming off contraception, I assumed it would be quick again this time round. I'm going to focus on healing myself first, definitely. ❤️

I would really recommend TCM Healthcare, I was also recommended them by someone, as having gone through something similar. I was sceptical about them not going to lie and only gave it a try for my partners sake. Long story short 1 sessions later we are pregnant and now I’m 7 months, thats after 3years of trying.

So sorry. 🤍 Have you done bloodwork to see if your body is deficient in any vitamins, minerals, or hormones? Before I got pregnant this time, I was taking vitamin D, progesterone, and a prenatal trying to get my body healthy. I was low in iron, vitamin D, and progesterone. I believe the lack of progesterone contributed to losing my first baby years ago.

@Rosie thank you so much for sharing your story. Means a lot. ❤️

@Cal Thank you for replying. I have a GP appointment end of the month to discuss. I will request full blood work. ❤️

So sorry for ur loss. I had my bg dec 22, got pregnant around 8 mths postpartum, miscarried twins at 11weeks, and have now reached 9 mths of not conceiving. I also was bf so I figured it was just too much on my body but I do worry about why am I not getting pregnant. Be kind to ur body and try not to worry.
