My 2 year old boy won’t talk even one word!

It’s been a long process with him, we’re currently attending to Speech Therapy for about 2 months and not improvement at all. His hearing test was great, nothing wrong with that but I’m so worried about him. I’m wondering if is something wrong with him. He doesn’t show any interest on talking or at least trying to imitate. Does anyone is in the same boat?

My son is 2 years 2 months and I'm in a similar situation. My son won't say anything. He doesn't have any issues with hearing, he eats well, sleeps well, very playful and active but just won't talk. He is starting nursery in 2 weeks so I'm hoping it might help but I can't just stop worrying, it's causing me a lot of anxiety.

For reassurance my son was a late talker, didn't say more than a few words until he was about 3.5. He's now 7 and has no issues with speech at all x

@Dolly thank you for sharing. It makes me feel better knowing that

@Shweta I feel the same way. I’m wondering if is anything wrong with him and I don’t know it yet

My nephew who is now 20 Has altisum When he was a child ( this is under 5) he bearly spoke He made up his own language " garrhh" was milk for one example His very first word at say what ...over 18 months was car My sister took him to a speech pathologist and it improved and he talks like a normal person does now ( sorry if that came out wrong) My son has speech problems He doesn't say the word correctly I e grass becomes " ass " truck will sound like the F word but isn't, please becomes freeze im also using a speech pathologist and soon I'll be starting OT sessions Don't stress to much and if he does have issues ( a diagnosis yet to be had) Just stay strong and positive

Keep reading to him, working on sounds. Don't give up. He's probably internalizing like my Lil one did. Didn't speak much until almost 4 and bam..... his vocabulary and personality just came out. Full sentences...not clear but working with him thru speech.

@Shweta did that end up helping?

@Anna we pulled him out from the nursery as he wouldn't really settle and I didn't have a very good feeling about the nursery. He is now going to start at a different nursery from September. He is still non verbal though I have noticed a lot of difference after stopping screen time ( loads more eye contact, gestures, pointing and playing more with my eldest). @Juliana Giraldo any updates on your little one? I'm getting very worried about my son as well. Pm me if you want to have a chat.

@Shweta dis the nursery helped with his speech delay ?.I'm at thd same boat as you right now
