Dye stealers and cheap tests

Mine was very very dark at 4 weeks

Hey! So I’ve heard that the dye stealer is just a concept of fun (I’ve never even heard of it before till this time) and some people may not even get them! Please try not to feel anxious 🩷 it looks like a very good line xxx

@Charlotte was it a cheap test? My clear blue was dark at like 4w4d but cheap ones have been taking a while

I’d never heard of this before today! But might explain why my control line was barely visible on a cheap test yesterday, I was really worried! However, didn’t find out I was pregnant til 7 weeks last time and didn’t have it at all, both lines super dark on the photo I still have. So must depend on the test I guess? Xxx

I'm 5 weeks 4 days but this test was from 2 days ago x

Errrmm yes, Absolutely 100% I had a scan on Friday and confirmed the dates, when I took the test I was 4+1

@Charlotte I’ve heard measurements aren’t reliable until 12 weeks x

Not always the case, as speaking from experience my 12 week scan was not reliable with my first, the NHS were way out. But I can pinpoint the day of conception as I was on the coil 5 days prior and fell pregnant on one try. Everyone’s test will be different and it depends what time of day it is taken. The first test I took was actually a Doctors dip stick thing.

I used these exact tests! Absolutely loved them but ended up swaping due to what’s available to me I’ll show you mine! X

I’ve noticed it kind of depends on the test and sensitivity, pls try not to worry though I was exactly the same, you’re dye stealer will come, it already looks like the start of one ❤️
