@Lisa Odd isn’t it? The darker one I put in comments is the one I took in Jan, my period arrived a day or two later. Now, it’s a lot lighter right before my period is due. My first positive OPK was May 29th. I guess time will tell.

For me, whenever I had an opk like this before my period, I ended up getting my period the day it was expected or a couple days later. If the test line is the same color or darker than the control line, you could possibly get a positive pregnancy test. I had that with my son when I didn’t get my period the day it was expected.
