Yes cuz 1 who are you 2 is it working for us 3 did I ask you 4 is it working for us Some people have wonderful insight though if I love how you engage with your children I'm much more likely to take notice of what's being said.
@Jai ugh! Hair is Hair, people! Get over it! What year are we in?
@Tanisha yes, if I ask for your advice, thank you! Otherwise, I don't need to know what you did with your kids in 1952. It's a different world now, right?
I just open my banking app or Venmo and tell them when their payment clears, then their opinion will be given consideration
@Mary oh my gosh! That's a good one! Lol! Very creative!
Just say thanks and move on. I had so many people giving me their opinions on what I should or shouldn’t do. It made me so cross, but I found that saying, “thanks I will bear that in mind,” usually ends the conversation.
@Ann You are such a sweet person! I am too petty to let that go, I am the first person to ask them where they got their educational doctorate from in child care, cause i'm the kind of person that if you started this fight we're gonna take it there.
@Ann usually that's my response to. But part of me seems to think that they're going to keep doing it if someone doesn't stand up and say, "no thank you."
I saw something the other that said to treat & think about those people just like you would your toddler when they try to teach you something. Smile and nod while mentally patting them on their head. I give my opinion but if they won’t let it go I do the toddler treatment
