Anyone with plan B experience?

Okay so hubby and I had sex on my first day of fertility window(ovulation)… we used a condom but things are a little crazy / got a little crazy so I got extremely anxious and decided to take a plan b a few hours later. Well 24 hours later I started cramping so badly and started bleeding. I was irritable and breast were so sore it was having a period but I’m not due for my period for another two weeks? My question is it’s been two days and now the quote on quote period Is over? I’m not bleeding anymore and not having any more period like symptoms? My chart says I have which should be four more days of ovulation then a week and a half till my period? I know it’s strange idk what to do someone help I’m embarrassed to ask my friends and my doctor but I’m worried now it resets entirely my somewhat normal schedule I never bled like that after plan b

Plan B causes a change in hormone levels, so it can affect your normal cycle. But if you're worried about it then I would speak to your doctor. I totally understand your feelings, but it really is nothing to be embarrassed about! Best of luck 😊

Plan B can cause your period to delay or come early. There's nothing to worry about. You can also contact your GP, there is nothing to feel embarrassed about.

Yes, I read that but my question is why was it only two days? Like it’s over now and my period usually will last at least five. So if it did jumpstart my period early, do I restart my whole cycle now what happened to those five other ovulation days lol

It hasn’t necessarily restarted your cycle, it’s just thrown your body off balance and it’s very possible your cycle will be out of its normal sync now for a month or two. There is a lot of strong hormones in Plan B. Would recommend you keep using protection. The bleeding would have been a type of ‘breakthrough’ bleeding. It’s very possible you will still get a period that could be much lighter / heavier and later.
