Not that interested in solids

Bub is 9 months old and still not that interested in solids. Mealtimes can feel like a battle.. tried both spoon feeding and blw. Bub is just so fussy and will only want to eat a few limited options. He is very keen on breastmilk ! Any advice or tips welcome 🙏

I wouldn’t worry too much x my 9 month old baby is also breastfed and doesn’t show much if any interest in food. We encourage her to taste things and she’ll have little bits and pieces every so often. I spoke to a paediatrician to see if I should be concerned and they said that it’s quite normal for breast fed babies to not have much interest in food until they’re 1 year to 1.5 years old roughly. As long as your little one is happy and keeping weight on I wouldn’t be worried too much ☺️

Don’t stress too much lovely. My LO is almost 10 months and doesn’t eat solids. He will have puree and munch on a steak here and there but loves his milk. They will transition when they are ready. I was so big on “you have to eat this kind and when” then I realized we can’t force and they will do it when they are ready. We just need to keep offering them the right tools. (Ie:food) even if they just play with it for now, it’s a step in the right direction.

Thank you for the reassurance 🙏
