I hope it’s able to be followed :) don’t forget to advocate for yourself, give it to your dr, support person, and nurses at the hospital to make sure they know. I ended up with a c-section birth and didn’t get to follow all of it, but it’s nice to have.

I brought one and the nurse laughed at me saying it was a typical first time mom thing to do 🥲 before my husband was even allowed to join me in the room they had me go over my birth plan, visitors and even had me name the baby in which they proceeded to put her name on her hospital band. He was allowed to advocate and take information for me because I asked that he was able to in case I was out of it. They had me sign papers and do a visit with anesthesia so I didn’t later in labor but made it clear it was optional and never once mentioned it other than to make sure they visited to have me sign. My nurses came into to check every 30 minutes and were less than a minute on the light. When the doctor came in, he asked me about the bath, golden hour, if it was okay for him to do an episiotomy and the umbilical cord. I had a heavenly experience but I share my experience because in my case I put forth the effort to make it and had to tell them because that’s the only way they accepted it.
