Fear of Change

Hey all! Just found out I'm pregnant and having to cancel a trip to Busch Gardens that hubby and I were stoked on. We LOVE rollercoasters. That kind of set off a whole chain of being upset about giving up stuff to have a baby... I could really use some inspiring stories of women who have kept up their regular life with baby! I just started running and enjoy it, and I want to keep training for a 10k in Fall. I'm also planning on continuing to rock climb, but this first trimester dizziness is hard... Photo is the shirt I got my hubby and pregnancy announcement. He's waiting until the scan to be excited...

Fear of change is okay and so is what you’re feeling. You can absolutely keep running through most of your pregnancy, despite what you might hear. Especially if you’re healthy and no complications. Obviously it will look different but it’s do able. I have two instagram moms I follow who have done just that. I myself kept lifting and squatting in the gym with my first well into my pregnancy and only stopped a few weeks before birth. This second time around I am in severe pain 24/7 so I have not been able to do everything I normally would. (Just to give you two different experiences on things) also once you’re baby is here I’m sure you will experience and feel love like no other and a lot of worries will go away. My enjoyment was hiking and my son has been accompanying me since he was two on hikes. There’s ways to do what you love and have a kid you just will figure out how that looks for you over time!

I meant to say if you’d like those instagram pages I can send them to you so you have inspiration of strong AF mothers to look on

Pregnancy seems like it takes forever at times but it's temporary so is the newborn stage toddler stage and so on and so forth you will enjoy the experience and learning the absolutely wonderful things that created your marriage and this child.

@Jodi Yes! I'd love that! It definitely helps to see other women keeping their 'selves' as mother's. I've seen some of my friends become mom's in ways I never want to be, but we've also always had very different lifestyles.

@Brittany Whoa!! So cool!! Racing scares the crud out of me. 🤣 I love that your kiddos share your passions!!
