Help?
My little boy, who's almost 5, struggles every 3 to 4ish months with pain in his right leg. It's to the point his leg gives way and it lasts up to a week at a time. Gp thought he had a knock knee, but Orthopaedics have discharged him over this and had xrays to the hips only. But it's still happening. I feel awful sending him nursery woth it as he can hardly weight bare and is causing clumsiness, but once he is in school we have no choice but to send him. Had anyone had this and have any idea what it could be? He's the lower range of normal for iron and vitamin d levels...

@Desiree my son is tiny still, I don't get how we can just be expected to leave them. It doesn't seem like growing pain the orthopaedic wad even concerned watching the videos. Enough to do the xray and suggest a dietician to gp but gp failed to give good info so the dietician referral has been rejected. Going to go back and fight for it though
My son has had this for months we’ve been told he has juvenile arthritis Warm baths, massage, plenty of rest (I know it’s hard for kids to sit for long) We’ve started to give our son vitamins And made sure his shoes are the right size and on properly x
Yep! My son is 6 and he has been going through this since he was 3. It’s hard to hear our little ones complaining about pain. His dr said it was growing pains. I can totally see that too because he has grown 10” in 3 years: 37” to 47” that’s some rapid growth. We are gonna mention it again to his dr in his next dr appointment just to keep it on her radar.
