Not baby related

Hi! Can I ask what everyone does for work? I am currently a primary school teacher where going back part time is not an option and I just don’t feel comfortable with the long hours and working all week away from baby (her dad works away for 3 weeks at a time) so I’m the only constant she really has! I worked so hard to get there but now I’m just questioning whether it really is for me! So looking for ideas and other options of work I can look into! Thanks in advance xx

Could you not do agency work as a teacher and choose as and when you work? X

I’ve thought about it but I wouldn’t get paid for any sickness or get maternity pay in the future if I have more children! X

Can you change schools to one where doing a job share is possible? Or is it just not an option at all in your area?

Nurse. I have quit and went agency x

Not seen any jobs at all offering job shares in my area! Most schools I’ve worked in on job shares let the teachers work her day then get a days cover for PPA then will kind of manage on the other day with a HLTA or PE Lesson etc xx

I was a teacher before I had LO and made the decision not to return to teaching. I know work from home doing admin for a company only £1200 a month but Suits our family life and I get to see more of LO. I will eventually return to teaching but he’ll never be this little again x
