Depends on the job. A lot don’t want you to have any distractions just like you wouldn’t at an office. Saying flexible on paper and being flexible are different
I do something very similar to Abby. I work 5-7 AM when everyone is still sleeping. I file emails and handle employee chat between 7 and 1030, but am mostly with my son. Then work again from 11-130/2 during his nap. The only difference is we had a nanny helping us 4 hours a day 3-4 days a week in the afternoons so I have been able to work a solid chunk of time until 4 or 5 PM. Right now my MIL comes to help a few days a week after my son’s nap 😁 I personally wouldn’t be able to get enough work done without the afternoon help. It’s very doable, but some days are more exhausting than others.
I WFH and I can't do it by myself. My husband has to watch my 17 month old while I work or I won't be able to get anything done.
I work full time from home with no nanny and I make it work! It can sometimes be tricky but if you have a good boss they can be flexible with you! For example, I work a lot of times from 6-8am (bc my son is still asleep) and then I’ll take a break, and go back to working when he’s down for a long nap, and then when he wakes back up I only have a couple hours left so I just make it work! 😂 But it’s such a blessing to be able to be home with my son ♥️
