Thank you so li do have that, but she just repeats herself but it is calming , did you find this, I don't think there is anything hidden within the app is there ? Cc
Yeh it cycles through about 5 different tracks but tbh when I was in labour I wasn't really noticing or minding the repetition. I just found it super helpful to try and get into them as much as possible in between contractions so I wasn't 'fearing' the next one and it absolutely did that. Also how it counts the breathing for you during contractions helped me to actually breathe slowly and in time rather than get caught up in the pain. Not sure if there's anything else to it tbh, I just used it for the talking and counting xx
I recommend BirthBox. It helped me so much. I went for a reflections meeting after having my baby and everyone who checked on me didn't realise my labour was progressing because I was very calm and responsive (was answering all questions) without any issues, so I didn't get my epidural after 8cm dilation when they finally checked me and I requested it.
I think repetition helps get in to a routine/process. I used Freya app and you get so focused on recording the contractions and breathing through them you don’t notice what else is going on. With my last birth it was overnight on a ward so no background noise at all. I think noise may have actually annoyed me 😂
Freya is brilliant and you can count your contractions on there which focuses you particularly in early labour. The repetition was really soothing - I’ve used it for two labours and for a free app it’s brilliant :)
Gentle birth was amazing... it's also bite for postpartum
I used the app Freya, it was a few pounds but absolutely worth it. Helped me so much x
