Sourdough Help

Hi mama's 👋 Im new to the group. Im on here looking for some help trying to get my family to eat more natural raw foods without diets and preservatives. I've started my sourdough and it has been going really good, using Rye flour but recently I've added organic all-purpose flour Arthur brand and it has not rised at all there are still bubbles but did I kill it what's going on. It looks like soup now 😭

This is a picture now I've transferred it from its original jar so I couldn't wash it.

Maybe need more flour if it's really soupy?

I just separated some and added more flour to that mix. Does diffrance in flour do anything?

Different flours do work differently but they should both work. It will just change how fast it eats the flour and how sour it is.

It's been 7 hours now in warm temperatures and it only has a few bubbles no rise 😭

are you discarding enough? you’ve gotta add flour but also remove it so the natural bacteria has room to grow, also make sure you’re using non tap water!! hope that helps your trouble shooting a little 🫶🏽
