Could you go for Kayla or Kayley for something a little more feminine if that’s what he likes? (Since Kay is fairly neutral). Aurora Susanna could also be lovely!
I like the Aurora Kay Celeste! We gave our daughter 2 middle names to commemorate both of our grandmothers.
for a girl, Suki could be cute! kinda merging both Sue and Kay. Aurora Kayla Aurora Kaya Aurora Kaydee/Kady Aurora Kaysee/Kasey/Kasy Aurora Kaytlyn/Kaytlin Aurora Sequoia Aurora Kayana Aurora Kaylen Aurora Kaylee Aurora Kaylin Aurora Kayra for a boy: Kayleb/Kaleb Kayden/Kaden Kayde/Kade Kayle/Kale Kayson Kayne 💕💙
@Elizabeth my husband is kind of wanting this name. It's been kind of hard to convince him to change his mind. He is kind of into regal sounding names. 😅
Maybe not quite what you were thinking but what about spelling Celeste with an S instead of a C? So Aurora Seleste…as a nod to Sue, if the name change is a nonnegotiable point for your husband.
My grandmother passed before I could tell her I was pregnant. I gave my son her maiden name as his middle name. She was my best friend and I wish she could’ve met him. Her maiden name was Jamie Lynn Reese. My sons name is Nathaniel Reese
I know it may be hard, but it's also okay if you don't, you both have to be happy with the name. I wanted to commemorate my grandma who passed away a few years ago (she raised me), and I had the name Melody Jean (Jean was her middle name), but I also liked the name Kiara Raylin.. my husband liked Kiara over Melody, so despite not commemorating my grandma, we're both happy with the name
@Moira I asked my husband and he said he liked Aurora Kay or Aurora Celeste and that I could choose either and he'd be happy. I think I might just cause the name together means the pure Dawn.
@Lindsey you have to do what you feel is right, even though my husband chose Kiara, as my daughter grew I knew it felt right.. if you're unsure, can always wait until she's born to know who she is if you don't figure it out before that
I lost my grandma Jan 2023, and we had a girl name picked out if we ever had a girl, but I found I have wanted to also commemorate my grandma. So we're going with two middle names so we're using the first name we had in mind, using one of her middle names as one of our little girls and ending it with the original middle name we had in mind. Maybe you could name your little girl Aurora Kay Celeste?
