These tests will only confirm hcg is present they're not used for qualitive measures - they're basically used to say yes or no. Bloods are more accurate in showing hcg levels rising or falling :) I was told not to get caught up in testing every day to stop my panicking as they can vary in strength and give a false sense of panic. If in doubt ask for some blood tests :) x
The EPU and GP won’t do blood tests or any kind of checks until 6 weeks. I’ve had two chemicals before and both went to negative tests very quickly. It’s very confusing!
What country are you from? I know in Australia you can request tests as soon as you get a positive test ! I would maybe try another gp and hopefully you get some answers 💖
@Isabella im from the U.K., they just don’t do anything until you’re 6 weeks it’s so annoying 😞 even the private scans I have looked in to won’t do anything until 6 weeks the same as the NHS x
Oh how frustrating!!! Crazy how different it is in other countries I am shocked they won’t do hcg I was doing them every 2 days from the day I found out until it got to a higher level ! 🤞🏻🤞🏻 I hope everything is okay 💙
You can do the blood test privately. It is a little expansive but the only real way to see what direction the pregnancy is going to.. good luck 🙏🏼
I would get HCG and progesterone blood test done (might have to be private) and they can see if the levels are where they should be. Otherwise they do two tests 48 hours apart to see if it’s progressing. I gave up with NHS and went private.

@Rossana bleeding has completely stopped. I’m still getting very positive tests but clear blue still says 2-3 when I would expect 3+. I can’t get in to the EPU until Wednesday x

About the clear blue test I never got a 3+ even when I was dated and scanned at 15 weeks so I wouldn't worry too much on that! Blood and scans are much better indicators :)

Based on my sad experience, pregnancy tests mean everything but nothing. I was getting good result on first response and clear blue 3+ but yet I had a missed miscarriage. Don’t worry I hope you will get to see the little bean on Wednesday xx

@Kimberley there is nothing after 3+, that’s why you were getting that, as it means 3 or more weeks ☺️
I had bleeding from 5 weeks to 7 weeks sometimes bright red!! I’m now 18 weeks pregnant it was a hemotoma x
@Laura I have that too. I’ve had bleeding from 5 weeks to 8.5 weeks (currently easing off)
I wouldn’t worry. I did exactly what you did with the tests as I have been bleeding too. My last test looked slightly more faint & the scan confirmed a heart beat. Don’t get caught up on the test dye x
