It is possible to have what’s known as a missed miscarriage where you experience no symptoms ie: bleeding or pain but sadly the embryo has stopped developing. If you are concerned speak to your GP or EPU. Is there a particular reason you feel this way.
I had a missed miscarriage. No symptoms of miscarriage whatsoever. What makes you think you’re having a miscarriage?
I had a missed miscarriage. We went for our 12 week scan but they couldn’t find a heartbeat, baby had stopped growing at 7weeks, it was only after being told this that I started bleeding (3 days later) then had my miscarriage 3 days after that. Please see a Dr or ring your midwife if you’re worried, even if it ends up being nothing wrong,l ways trust your gut. Xx
@Sarah I’ve been to the early pregnancy clinic they did a blood test for my HCG levels, I was 289, then Wednesday she told me it went down to 232 but Friday went up but I can’t remember what number she said. I’m just confused, I’ve got a scan tomorrow so hopefully that will tell me what’s going on. I had a chemical in March I was bleeding by now.
I had a missed miscarriage and like Pippa went for a scan and was supposed to be 12 weeks but no heartbeat and both babies had stopped growing at 7 and 10 Weeks. No symptoms or anything I just had this gut feeling and something just didn’t feel right so we booked a private scan. 3 days later the miscarriage started. Always worth getting checked out xx
Ah ok I see,I’m really sorry to hear that hun. Yeah the decline in numbers is unfortunately not a good sign. Please let us know how you get on x
@Sarah pregnancy unknown location 😵💫. I don’t no why this keeps happening to me, it’s so unfair 😔. I’ve been pregnant 3 times now in a year an still no baby 😔.
Don’t give up hope
@Holly I feel like my tubes blocked , that’s why I’m unable to stay pregnant, there not really helping me 🤦🏼♀️😵💫. It’s so frustrating, I have to keep losing babies to actually get help, I’m mentally struggling, I’m feeling so low.
Bless you 😞 best advice I can give is to pay privately to see a consultant. Thats what I did. He then saw us in an nhs basis after that but it got us through the door for tests. I had a MMC last April/May then a chemical in November. We were TTC for 18 months before falling pregnant the first time. I had loads of tests done and turns out I have a blood disorder. But I actually fell pregnant again in March after having a procedure where they flush your tubes to check for blockages. I was put on progesterone and blood thinners and I’m now almost 19 weeks pregnant. That private £150 was the best money I ever spent!
@Sarah I’ve had all the basic checks and they came back fine, I’ve actually got an appointment in august, hopefully they give me the dye test to see if my tubes are blocked or not. She said I can have progesterone and baby aspirin when I’m pregnant but only when they know the baby is in the right place. But I can’t even stay pregnant 😔. So you only paid £150 to flush your tubes out? A thought it cost a lot more than that.
The £150 was for a private consultation with a fertility specialist. All the testing was done on the nhs. I don’t have any existing children but my partner does so we knew ivf would have to be paid for by us but the testing was all covered as it wasn’t ‘treatment’. I also fell pregnant 3 times in a year like you. But third time was a charm. My specialist said I could start medication as soon as I found out I was pregnant. NHS doctors were useless but the private consultant was amazing,I’d have got nowhere without him. All my tests always came back fine, the only thing that ever showed up was in my most recent blood test in January/February time.i just needed blood thinners so wasn’t anything major. I feel like the private consultants are much more willing to start meds straight away (well mine was) where GPs and EPUs want to wait until after 6 weeks, which we don’t always get to!
@Sarah I’ve got 2 kids, 2 healthy pregnancies before the ectopic, I believe it’s damage from that , although I could be wrong. I just need that test to know for sure. If I get pregnant and it goes in a damaged tube I could have another ectopic. The nhs don’t care at all, I actually mite complain about the hospital because I’m having mental problems because of them not helping me.
Yeah it could well be. I did have the tube thing done once before via the nhs investigations so they might well do that for you without you having to go down the private route. It’s not a pleasant experience but should get you an answer one way or the other

@Sarah I’ve given birth naturally twice with only gas and air, it can’t be more painful than that 😂. Although the ectopic pain was bad pain. Luckily I didn’t rupture.
It’ll be a breeze then 😂 it’s not too bad tbh, just uncomfortable. But I’ve never given birth so don’t have that to compare to 😂 I know there will certainly be no comparison!
@Sarah update not miscarriage, 2nd ectopic pregnancy had surgery yesterday , stuck in my right tube, it’s been removed. In pain but struggling on 👍.
aww that’s rubbish bless you. Hope you’re doing ok x
@Sarah just glad they removed my tube now.
Sorry to hear that. Hope you are doing ok and recovering xx
@Holly the surgery was successful, they showed me a picture of it stuck in my tube, it was really strange seeing it but I wanted to see what it looked like 🤦🏼♀️.
I was going to say, this sounds very much like an ectopic pregnancy. Glad you are doing well! I’ve been through a PUL (which self-resolved)
@Filipa I didn’t feel like my first ectopic. Until Wednesday I started getting bad pain, she said my HCG was 3,000 and said to go in and have the surgery this time, I’m glad my tube is gone now. 3 losses from that bad tube.
My indicator was the fact that you were bleeding and hcg was decreasing and then increasing, that is a mega red flag! I am glad you are OK and wish you all the best for the future! I am sure a healthy pregnancy is just around the corner (if that’s your wish)
@Filipa I didn’t have any bleeding. But yeah the HCG was up and down, I thought it was a miscarriage taking ages to come out. But oh well. Glad my tube is out now. Yeah I’m hoping to be pregnant but who knows. Trying to stay positive. I’m not giving up after all this.
I am sure you will! I had 1 CP and 1 PUL back-to-back end of last year and took a break for 2 months and I am nearly 30w pregnant with a healthy baby boy!
@Filipa it’s nice to hear something good can come after such a miserable time. I hope your pregnancy is going smoothly. That makes me feel more positive.
Why would you think that? It may have been a missed misscariage but what symptoms did you have to make up believe that?
